City Meets the Cathedral
The magnificent new Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary has been built by the
people, for the people. It reflects faith, generosity and hard work of the Hamilton
Diocese and it melds much love old treasures with new artwork and ideas.
It is a Cathedral church of the 21st Century but its roots lie deep in history.

Welcome to the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hamilton. This Cathedral
church stands to honour God, to remind all those who pass by of the presence of
God in their lives and to be a church where the Catholic community gathers to
worship God and spend time in a very prayerful atmosphere. If you have any

evenings at 6pm in the Cathedral .
Meditation Group: Meet Every
Tuesday 6.30-7.15pm in the
Cathedral Tabernacle Chapel.
We arrive in silence and depart in silence.
The Rosary and exposition with
Our Lady’s Cenacle and with Exposition
of the Blessed Sacrament is prayed
after the 7.30am Mass on Saturday.
Baptism Preparation for School Age Chidren
RCIC PROGRAMME: Preparation classes for school age children who wish to be
Baptised or received into the church take place in term 2 each year.
